Hey everyone, happy Friday! Today I thought I would share my favorite skincare products. I love to use anything and everything that I can get my hands on, therefore, I thought why not write about it?
My skin type tends to be more combination to dry and it is sensitive too. So if any of that is you, hopefully, I can help you find some great skincare too!
Skincare Step One: Water Based Cleanser – 16 Brand Donkey Milk Cleanser
The cleanser I have been using for quite some time now is the Sixteen Brand Donkey Milk Cleanser. This cleanser actually has donkey milk in it! When I first saw that, I was a little creeped out, but it really is great on my skin. Donkey milk is an all-around skincare good guy; it helps thoroughly cleanse the skin, but it doesn’t strip it or dry it out. It is also soothing and full of vitamins that are going to help hydrate and take care of sensitive and dry skin. It also has lactic acid which is a really beautiful
gentle exfoliant. This will help to remove dead skin cells and brighten the skin, without being too harsh.
I use this cleanser Morning and Night. It is available here and at $11 a tube, it’s such a steal!
Skincare Step Two: Toner – Thursday Plantation Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Toner
Even though I do have this dryish, sensitive skin, I am still prone to the lovely cyclical acne that so many are prone to. Therefore I use an antibacterial toner that will help to reduce any potential breakouts. For this, I use the Thursday Plantation Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Toner. This toner is absolutely amazing! My 13-year-old sister uses this too, and it does wonders to keep to keep her acne away.
Tea Tree is a natural antibacterial agent. This is going to help destroy acne-causing bacteria, making flare-ups much less likely, and hopefully, a thing of the past!
Witch hazel is another natural product. This is going to help improve the texture of the skin by tightening pores and making it look nice and smooth. It will also help to fight bacteria by making it harder for it to get into those smaller pores.
I use this morning and night after cleansing. This is $10-$20 (the price varies), it can be bought at supermarkets and online such as here. I really like this product, and again I think it’s a really
good price for something beautiful and natural.
Skincare Step Three: Eye Cream – Goodness Twice-a-Day eye Cream
I have incredibly sensitive skin around my eye area. This means that so many eye creams I have used in the past have burned and hurt my skin. I have tried many different creams, including those for sensitive skin and the one I use now is the best I have tried. This eye cream is the Goodness eye cream that I talked about last week here. I love all the amazing ingredients in this cream such as avocado, chia seed, and coconut oil. These all help to deeply hydrate the skin, thus keeping me looking young and feeling good!
I use this day and night. It can be found in supermarkets and online here
Skincare Step Four: Moisturiser – Natural Instinct Nourishing Facial Moisturiser
I have just recently found this moisturiser, and it has quickly become my favorite! This is a nice light moisturiser, however, it is really beautiful on the skin and hydrates so well. I really love that it is a more natural formula than other moisturisers I have used in the past, so that’s a huge plus to me! My skin always feels so super soft after using this product, and it makes it feel really hydrated and comfortable.
This has sweet almond oil which according to the Natural Instinct website “moisturises the skin with a firming effect fighting off the signs of ageing, crow’s feet, wrinkles & pigmentation”. It also contains rosehip oil which is “rich in antioxidants & vitamins improves skin tone & skin renewal”. Check out the Natural Instinct website here to see this information and more!
I use this moisturiser at night and in the morning. It can be found in supermarkets and online here
